Digital photography classes and private instruction

You invested in a nice digital camera, but now what? We understand how intimidating your new digital camera can be – that’s why we created digital photography classes and private 1:1 training designed for the beginner to intermediate shutterbug wanting to take advantage of everything their DSLR camera has to offer. Our small class sizes are dynamic and social, providing you with the human interaction that no book or online video can offer.

Beginner Digital Photography 101

The Beginner Digital Photography Training class guides you through the functions of your digital SLR camera without the intimidating jargon, and gives you the core concepts you need to start exploring what your camera can do.

Private 1:1 Digital Photography Training

The Private 1:1 Digital Photography Training brings your instruction experience to the most personal level. Our personalized training sessions give you the instructor’s full attention and allow you to learn at a pace that is fully yours.

New Classes Coming in 2015

We have been listening carefully to our students’ desires for advanced photography instruction and are pleased to announce the upcoming addition of three separate topic-specific training classes to our lineup: Landscape/Travel Photography, Family/Portrait Photography, and Sports/Action Photography.

Building upon the foundations of our Beginner Photography 101 Class, these new topic-specific classes help you learn more about the kind of photography that interests you. Structured in the same jargon-free format as our other training, you will soon be on your way to taking your photography to the next level. These new classes will be available starting in January 2015.

What You Should Know

Being advanced instruction, these classes require a knowledge of photography such as understanding and knowing how to properly use ISO, aperture, and shutter speed, and being familiar with the operation of a digital camera… all of which are taught in our Beginner Photography 101 Class. You don’t need to be a “professional” by any means, but a good understanding of these basics will go a long way toward you getting the most from these classes.

If you are unsure whether your current skill level will be enough to attend these classes, simply give us a call at (614) 636-2879, and together we’ll discover if you’re ready to go or not. If, however, the terms ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and depth-of-field are unfamiliar (or at best fuzzy,) then you would benefit by taking our Beginner Photography 101 Class first so you will be prepared when these new classes are introduced.
